a symposium organized together with Eeva-Liisa Pelkonen, Yale School of Architecture, 8–9.09.2016

The symposium Transit point: Mitteleuropa was convened to celebrate the opening of the exhibition Oskar Hansen: Open Form at YSoA, featuring the career of the prolific postwar Polish architect, artist and educator by placing him in the context of Mitteleuropa with its strong multi-cultural, intellectual artistic legacy. The symposium highlighted that the region has historically served as a transit point for people of different cultural backgrounds and nationalities, providing a fertile ground for the convergence of different artistic mediums as well as intellectual and interdisciplinary exchanges.
